Dress Code
All students are expected to wear uniforms beginning the first day of school.
VOE Uniform Dress Code
SHIRTS
- Collared, solid color, blouse or polo shirt in any color.
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
PANTS
- Shorts, jumpers, or skorts in khaki, navy blue, or black.
- Jeans may only be worn on designated "Jeans Days," usually the last Friday of the month. Jeans must be worn with a VOE Spirit Shirt.
- Belts are encouraged.
SHOES
- Closed-toe shoes with backs or sneakers.
- NO CLOGS are to be worn.
- NO CROCS are to be worn.
- Students must wear sneakers on PE days.
JACKETS
- Jackets must be unzipped or open while in the classroom
HOODED SWEATSHIRTS
- Wearing hoods in any building is NOT permitted
NON-UNIFORM DAYS
- Halter-tops, tube tops, short shorts, muscle shirts, midriff or
backless shirts and blouses shall not be worn. - Shoulder coverings must be at least two inches in width.
- A complying shirt must be worn under a basketball jersey.
- Tops must be three inches below the waistband or remain tucked
in so that the midriff area is not exposed. - Backless and spaghetti strap are not allowed on dresses or shirts.
- No bare skin should be exposed at the waist or abdomen area.
- Clothing must cover the chest area.
- Clothing must not have symbols, emblems, insignias, or badges
that promote alcohol, drugs, tobacco, gang or cult related, or
obscene advertising or words. - Dresses should be worn at an appropriate length.
- Bandanas, kerchiefs, and /or sweatbands are not permitted.
Dress Code Discipline
At school, the principal has final authority to determine whether dress is appropriate or deeded disruptive to the learning.
